Welcome to Legacy Church of God, located in the beautiful North Texas area! Since I took on the leadership role here in 2009, I have witnessed God’s incredible blessings and substantial growth in various ministries.
I received my Ordained Bishop's License in January 2007, and I also have the privilege of serving as the district overseer for our churches in the Wichita area. From 2018 to 2022, I was honored to be recognized by my peers and serve on the state council for the Church of God of Texas.
Alongside my wife, Sherrie, I strive to lead with character and integrity, and we pride ourselves on being approachable and down-to-earth.

Malissa Zamora
Kids/Associate Pastor
My name is Malissa Zamora, and my husband, Danny, and I have had the privilege of serving as Kids Pastors at Legacy Church for the past 11 years. I am also a published author of children's curriculum and have been a licensed minister in the Church of God since 2016.
As a proud mother of two daughters, Brittany and Heather, I am deeply passionate about guiding children to come to Christ and equipping them to live and operate within the kingdom of God. Additionally, I have a fervent desire to preach the Word of God and witness lives transformed through His teachings. My dedication is to foster a nurturing environment where children can grow in their faith and relationship with God.

Kayla Tarver
Worship Pastor
My name is Kayla Tarver, and I serve as the Worship Pastor at Legacy Church. I have been a part of this community since 2009 and was honored to step into the role of Worship Pastor in 2020.
I am a proud mother of two beautiful daughters, Tatum and Teagan, and am grateful for the unwavering support of my husband, Heath. Together, we lead the Legacy Young Adults ministry under the guidance of Pastor David and Ashley.
Additionally, I hold the position of Director at our church’s daycare, Lion Cub Academy, where I have been dedicated since its opening in 2019. I earned my BA in Education in 2023, and I am passionate about teaching and guiding children during their early developmental stages. My goal is to foster a nurturing environment for both worship and learning within our community.

Andrew Johns
Student Pastor
My name is Andrew Johns, and my wife, Afton, and I have been attending Legacy Church since 2016. We have had the honor of serving as the Student Pastors since early 2022, and I also contribute as a drummer on the Worship Team.
In June 2023, I received my Exhorter's License through the Church of God, and I am committed to furthering my education in ministry. Afton and I are the proud parents of two beautiful daughters, Amellia and Adalynn, who are active participants in our Kingdom Kids program.
My passion lies in witnessing Jesus move through our students and supporting their discipleship as they share their faith with their families and schools. I am dedicated to nurturing a vibrant and supportive community where young lives can be transformed by the love of Christ.

David Evans
Young Adults Pastor
My name is David Evans, and my wife, Ashley, and I have been proud members of the staff since 2018. We are blessed with three wonderful children: Jordan, Caleb, and Harper. Born and raised in Wichita Falls, I have a deep appreciation for this community.
As the Young Adult Pastor, I focus on guiding our students as they transition from high school into adulthood. Additionally, I contribute to our Worship team and serve as the GCD (Get Stuff Done) Pastor, where I help facilitate various initiatives within the church. My commitment is to support and empower the next generation while fostering a vibrant worship environment.

Steve Organ
Production Director
My name is Steve Organ, and I am the Production Director at Legacy Church. I dedicated my life to Jesus in August 1987 and have spent most of my life in Burkburnett. My wife, Teresa and I have been married for 44 wonderful years.
We began attending Legacy Church in June 2014, and since then, I have been actively involved in the Production team. With 36 years of experience in this field, my passion for production remains the same today as it was when I first started. I am committed to enhancing our worship experience through quality productions and creative services.
